Lekh Lekha/”Go Forth Yourself”, Genesis 12:1-17:27, opens with the challenge given to Abram – go forth!  His obedience sets the course for every generation afterwards, and it’s no accident that this same challenge is still being issued in Revelation 18:4 for His people to come out of her (Babylon)!  We find that this has become a catchphrase (“coming out of Babylon”) for everything from divesting oneself of the pagan trappings found within the mainstream church to measures taken to extricate oneself from the governmental systems designed by the powers that be.  All of which are aspects that truly connect to this concept, yet what is the purpose of this journey?
