Nitzavim 2022

The message of this Parsha has traditionally been one focused on the generation whose parents had died off during the 40-year wilderness excursion. As their survivors are gathered prior to crossing Jordan, Moshe reminds them of the Covenant embraced by their Fathers and now presents to them, the Commandments of Torah and offers them a choice regarding the same Covenant. With these caveats: If they are willing and obedient it will see them blessed. If, however, they violate YHVH’s Torah they can expect curses instead. Therefore, those ‘Standing’ here at the boundary of Canaan waiting to access their inheritance are about to hear some striking revelation!
