Va’era/”And I Appeared”, Exodus 6:2-9:35, is the second parshah of the book of Exodus in which we have the NAME of Yahweh revealed to Israel (inferring His Character, Authority, and very Identity). The revelation of this Name is directly connected to a 7-fold promise (Ex. 6:5-8) as well as the first 7 plagues (of the total 10) are all covered within Va’era. Is there a pattern or connection here that unlocks our understanding of HIS NAME?
