Emor/”Say!”, Leviticus 21:1-24:23, details the holiness code for the priests, yet inserted within these passages is the detailed list of the feasts of Yahweh, His calendar and timepiece! Once again, it is important to remember that all of Israel was delivered out of Egypt in order to become a kingdom of priests (Ex. 19:6). The role of the priest upon Israel’s exodus is directly connected to the keeping of the tabernacle of the congregation – ‘ohel mo’ed. Congregation: Strong’s #4150 mo’ed appointed place, time, or meeting; the same term is translated as feasts in מוֹעֵד Leviticus 23!
