Vayigash 2022

This week’s parashat is the portion introducing our first exile from the Land of Promise. We have reached the climax between Yoseph and his brothers. Our parashat begins with Yehudah pouring out his heart to who he thinks is the Egyptian governor/Zaphnath Paneach but is his brother Yoseph. It was Yehudah who had years earlier cooperated with his brothers to betray Yoseph even to the point of death they would re-enact through the blood of goats. The 22 year long separation has reached its climax.
