Lekh-Lekha/”When You Go Forth”, Genesis 12:1-17:27, begins with Abram’s call to come out of the land of the Chaldees/Haran (aka Babylon) to the land that Yahweh would show him.  This same call is echoed in Revelation 18:4 – “…Come out of her my people…”  Abram’s journey then seems to set the example and precedent regarding what it means to do just that!  Notice that both here in Abram’s example as well as in Revelation, it starts with hearing the Voice!  The promise is not seen/made manifest, until after the hearer has been obedient to the word that was given.
